These cylinders are also fed by the mains but work in reverse to the standard cylinder. Your boiler heats up the large stored body of water to a very ligh temperature and this is mixed via a thermostatic valve before it reaches the taps. It does not store water at high pressure and therefore does not require the safety devices associated with unvented cylinders. It is also ideal for incorporation into a multi curcuit system, bringing together high pressure hot water with solar panels, a boiler and underfloor heating if required.
